The basic physical characteristics of the Blue Lacy (also referred to as Blue Lacy Game Dog and Texas Blue Lacy Game Dog include the following:

-Sleek, smooth, tight, appearance
-Slate blue coat with moderate to full white markings on their brisket
-Light gun-metal gray to black
-Some Blue Lacy’s are tri-colored (blue with red markings on the muzzle, over the eyes, down the legs, or on under the tail.
-Vivid and distinctive yellow to orange colored eyes

Personality and Temperament of the Blue Lacy
With children the Blue Lacy is quite amicable. For the most part, the breed is known for being simple to handle. Either as a house pet or working animal, the Blue Lacy is responds well to gentle commands rather than stern ones.

The devotion and energy of this breed is what makes the Lacy a loving dog. The dog has the capabilities to handle the most belligerent of longhorn cattle to the most jittery of hens.
